Homework for the week of Oct. 8

Hello.  Just a reminder to all that the homework packets that came home today are due next Monday, October 15.  The Reading Log is due at that time too.  Although the Reading Log only has entries for Mon. through Thurs., students should be reading DAILY.  Don't forget to enter the minutes you have read for Team Cats or Team Dogs in the Paws for Reading contest.  This can be done at scholastic.com/paws.

I lost the blog!

I apologize for not getting the spelling words up yesterday.  I received a new lap top to use at school (I had been using my personal machine).  Thank you Measure S.  Anyway, I lost the blog!

This week there is no Reading Logs.  I have changed them to a weekly format and want to practice with the kids this week before sending them home next Monday.  As with the other homework, due the Monday following when it was assigned.

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope everyone had a great weekend despite the heat and humidity.

We have some kind of a cold going through the classroom (right now it's my turn).  Please do not send your child if they are too sick to learn, or if they are contagious.  No one with a fever should be at school.  Thanks!

Back to School Night

It was so great to see so many of you last night at Back to School Night.  Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to come meet with me.

Welcome Back!

Wow!  Summer sure did fly by!  Although I had a great summer going to yoga and learning how to quilt, I am excited about beginning a new school year.  This is my 27th year at Franklin, but the first time I will be teaching third grade.  I am looking forward to a fun and challenging year.
